I've never used the pen or the light, only the laser. It is a very strong laser. The three LR44 batteries that come with it will cost you about $9 if you buy them separately. This is a very good deal. Hint: The batteries go in with the positive toward the tip of the pen and the negative contacts toward the laser end of the pen. This review is from: 3 in 1 Laser Pointer Pen w/ LED Light This product doesn't shine brightly. I am constantly screwing it and unscrewing it trying to improve the resolution of the laser. Most of the time I loose the laser strength altogether and then struggle to get it to function again.
